Commitment to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

The Center for Esports is dedicated to fostering an open and welcoming environment to gamers from all walks of life.  Competitive gaming accommodates in many areas that traditional sports misses, such as disability accommodation, gender-inclusive team rosters, and regional accessibility.  

At the Rowan Center for Esports, this is where our work begins.  We understand that equity and inclusion are not boxes to be checked, and that the work is never "done".  Rather, we view DEI initiatives as a lifelong journey to move forward, with many conversations and learning opportunities along the way.  For this reason, the Center for Esports provides its student leaders with DEI workshop training, offers co-sponsored events with groups representing marginalized identities, and generally serves as a safe space for all members of the Rowan community.
